Column Presentation.
Dear friends, I’m honoured and glad to take part in this publishing activity in the section addressed to the large and diversified public of those who are interested in the themes concerning the living with animal world. However, in this on line space I’d like to receive also the contributions of those who don’t share this interest and consider, for different reasons, to complain about this zoological presence in human society.
It is not the first experience in this sense but it certainly is an important dimension on the communicative plane, that give the opportunity to get accustomed to exercising the civil dialectical confrontation on themes that generally arouse great hostility, themes like those that have as object the presence of tame animals in towns, animals that, for some people, represent an important relation in their life, for others, are source of inconvenience and trouble.
In this space you can have the opportunity of finding elements of knowledge and information, which can help you to find a common ground for discussion, basing on subjects such as zooanthropology, ethology, behavioural medicine, which help us to understand tame animals, their behaviour in nature and that modified, in good or evil, by the living with man, their behavioural deviances, the causal and modal elements (the “Why?” and the “How?”) in the relationship between man and animal, the advantages and the benefits which originate from a proper relationship, the normative and prescriptive elements which regulate animal possession and so on.
In these pages you can express your personal opinions, according to democratic precepts, that don’t represent the editorial staff’s point of view. So it is a free democratic instrument open to everyone, in obedience of the rules of the civil living together.
